Help!
I am a newbie and simply take my Panasonic Lumix .JPGs at about 5,800 kB, open them in the advanced editor and then simply save-as - no editing, no resizing etc. They then are saved at very low resolution of 281 kB. Must be a setting somewhere, but I searched in the help files and did not find any answer.

Re: X3 JPG resolution
X3 defaults to a compression of 20 if I remember correctly. After you click Save As you'll want to click the Options button and change the compression to 0 if you don't want any compressing of the data at all. There's also a wizard there is you want a specific file size. Once you change this you won't have to change it again for the same file type unless you reset the workspace or reinstall the software.

Re: X3 JPG resolution
EDIT: Beat to it by Df.
You can either use the JPG Export option from the File->Export menu and it'll give you a special options dialog for defining how JPEGs are encoded. Of course these settings will only be remembered for this export option. If you want to effect it so the settings happen everytime you click SaveAs then see below.
Or when you do Save As, you'll see a button at the bottom of the dialog that says "Options." Click that and you'll get options for how JPEGs are encoded. Change the slider to allow for greater quality and you'll get a larger file size.

Re: X3 JPG resolution
Great, thanks for the explanation! I missed that options selection. My compression option was set to 99!
It works now.

Re: X3 JPG resolution
99?!? Yeah, I'd say that's a little too high. Glad you got it resolved.
