I have created three projects and produced from them 3 perfect MPEGS (PAL DVD 16:9 Stereo) - I am now trying to put them together into one single MPEG, but the finished MPEG audio stutters occasionally. Any ideas? I am going to try and remove the additional link vids in between them and see if that makes a difference. Let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks

Fuzzy,
Could you please click on the User Control Panel link, go to the Profile tab, and complete your system information?

My apologies Ron, I was just doing that as you replied as realised I hadn't. I also did not mention I am running Corel Video Studio Pro.
Thanks

Re: Audio Stutter after rendering 3 MPEGs
Not sure it is worth mentioning that my video has a lot of content, lots of clips of various video formats, lots of photos, lots of audio (wav and MP3) However, I dismissed this as being an issue because the MPEGS created are working fine - surely that's the hard part done?
I have since tried Upper Field first and also removing link videos i.e. just the three MPEGS. So far, still those audio stutters in the same places.

Re: Audio Stutter after rendering 3 MPEGs
That is a strong indicator of the cause. When it occurs in the same place, start looking at those places to see what is there, and how it differs from the rest. If it is just the audio stuttering, it could be the codec being used, ie; MP3, if so try converting the MP3 to WAV.still those audio stutters in the same places.
Sometimes when combining different formats, the resulting render, or recode doesn't go as smooth as what we think. It is puzzling that your MPEG-2 video files play smoothly, yet when you try to join them it results in this problem. That points to the recoding of at least one of those 3 MPEG-2 video files. Again look at my above suggestion, and look at where this is occurring. It takes a process of elimination to run it down. Not fast, or easy, but about the only way to zero in on what's causing it. The MPEG-2 file may play fine on it's own, however software DVD players are and can be more forgiving than editors/encoders.lots of clips of various video formats
Are the files too large to try and combine them in the project stage? This would save one additional recode, and may prevent the stuttering.
What is the field order of any original source video files where this stuttering occurs? If you have tried to include video files that have opposing field orders, this could be the cause. You should not combine differing field orders, as the final encode can only take on one of those field orders, which results in video files having the field order reversed. This is a major contributor to stuttering video.I have since tried Upper Field first
