I loaded in a 34 minute video using the capture feature from my mini DV camera. It created two separate titles.
First of all - why? I only want one title
Second - How do I merge them together as one title?
Right now, it causes me to create 6 chapters in title one and 5 chapters in title 2. This really stinks.
HELP??! This program is very difficult to use.

4gb file?
I did not shut off my camera during the load in. I loaded all 34 mins in at once. I it split into two separate titles because of the 4gb suggestion made in this forum.
Is there a way to stop that from happening? The file size was 7gb. Most of my videos are 14gb+. I can't have someone's wedding video in three-four different titles. Any suggestions on how I can make this one complete title? Or, is there a way to take 3-4 titles and merge them together once they've been loaded into DVD Workshop?

wedding videos usually have "logical" sections (ceremony, reception intros, after dinner, etc...). If you work on each section, you could output them as separate "Titles" that fade to/from black. Then in DVD WS 2.x, you can use the separate Titles, and combine them to play as one long video (using the button "Playlist"), or have a separate menu to play just one Title, and return back to the menu.
When you combine them all in a "Playlist", there is a slight "pause" between Titles, but that should go unnoticed by the viewer if you fade to/from black.

Thanks George
Thanks for the suggestion, George. And, for now - I'll use that suggestion. But do you know if there's a way to load in an entire 60 min video as one full segment?
You'll need Win2k or WinXP with NTFS Formatted Hard Drives (not Fat32).
You'll also need about 13gb for 60 minutes of DV .avi.
Now, for some reason I have heard some users who capture with DVD WS 2.x that it will break it at the 4gb mark (even with NTFS drives). If that is the case with your setup, try doing a web search on a free little utility called WinDV -- it captures DV .avi's, and can capture to one large video file. It also helps minimize dropped frames by utilizing a small "buffer" during the dv transfer.
hth,
George

Win XP NTFS
I do have WinXP with NTFS Formatted Hard Drives.
And I have plenty of room (250gb) hard drive.
I'll look into the WinDV option. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
