How to Insert Multiple Titles on the Title Track

Post by BettyG »

I'm using VS 11. I want to insert some text in 2 separate title boxes. I have selected the multiple titles option. But I can't figure out how to actually insert a second box. It inserts one, and that's it. I'm trying to create a narrative-text screen that has a main title with a large font, and another box with text in a smaller font. How do I get a second box to appear?

Thanks, I feel stupid.

Ok, I answered your other post concerning the "gaps" and Overlay tracks. What we need to know is what version of VS 11 do you have? It was originally released in 3 versions:
  • VS 11.0, what we refer to as the Vanilla version. Only 1 overlay track.
  • VS 11.0 Plus, has the ability to add up to 6 overlay tracks.
  • VS 11.5 Plus, basically the same as 11.0 Plus, but has the Power Pack installed, that added some additional features and formats you could edit.
To insert multiple titles in VS 11.0 Plus or 11.5 Plus, first you must have Multiple Titles selected on the Edit tab. Then do as the preview screen instructs, Double-click here to add a title. Once you have your title typed, then move to another area of the preview screen, and repeat. You can change the attributes for each text/title you type. So each one of them can have different Fonts, sizes, colors, animations, ect.

EDITED
I forgot to mention that you must move the playhead on the timeline past your previous text/title if you want it to be totally separate. If not it will be part of the first one, which is really not big deal. Like I stated before, you can apply different attributes to each text.
