burning unsucsessfull

i just got thrial version of workshop 2.0 it's the best except ---

what is error code:8004145d how can i fix it and finish burning my dvd

there are some patches from Ulead's site that address some burning issues -- but I am not sure they will apply to the Trial version. try them to see if it helps.

I would burn the dvd to your hard drive (either DVD Folders, or the DVD Image file).

Then in a separate step, you can burn from those Folders (or image file) to disc.

You can use other software to burn the folders (if you cannot apply the patches).

I had to remove Roxio (which came pre-installed on my computer). Actually, it was a new computer so I re-formatted the hard drive and started over.

Some of these burning programs seem to "take-over" your computer!

I agree; I've removed Roxio and Nero from mine and now all the Ulead proggies run spotlessly and do everything that I need with the DVD RW drive with no hassle. I think the systems whereby discs can be treated like floppies are particularly dangerous. XP has something similar and is almost as bad but I don't know how to disable it (It drives me nuts on one 'puter because it says I have two files ready to be saved, which it won't do, and I can't find any way to eliminate them from the folder. I've even uninstalled the drive but they come back on re-installing.

I have installed all the l updates that are needed. I unintslles nero burning rom, in registry i delted all ahead, nero, INCd everything that could be deleted but still i get the error 8004145d.

I have burned dvd with this program, so i think there must be a conflict but with what program?? I used different dvd's
Dvd RW Dvd R (bith so the + ande the -) but when i is buning sand get to 3% it gives me this error?

Suggestions
