Requirements: Which is better for Painter 12?

Post by elhef4eto »

Hi. I'm about to buy a laptop and I am wondering which of these is better.
Painter will be used only for relatively high res high dpi drawing on an external monitor.

Will there be any difference in performance between GeForce 540M and 525M, both with 1GB DDR3?

Will there be any difference in performance between Intel Core i7-2630QM (2.00/2.90GHz 6 MB Cache) and Intel Core i5-2410M (2.3/2.9GHz, 3MB Cache)? Will Painter take advantage of the four cores with lower frequency or two cores with higher frequency is better?

Which is better to invest in - GPU or CPU, considering the fact that the laptop will be used only for drawing with external monitor?

Welcome to our Forums, :)

Sadly this is not the correct web board. This web board is for Corel Digital Media products, VideoStudio, PaintShop Pro, DVD MovieFactory. With the exception of PaintShop Pro, they're the former Ulead programs. Corel does have a forum setup for Painter, and you stand a much better chance of getting
the proper help there..
