Being new to Video Studio I am having difficulty getting out of the starting blocks and wondered if anyone could give me a helping hand by telling me where to find information on how best to remove segments from within a single video file using V7. Particularly want to remove adverts and hoping one can set multiple markers to delete several sections all at once. Then I can get on to the frilly stuff…
Best wishes in advance

Thanks people. Getting the hang of it now but those little up/down arrows to the right of the time register are a pain when wanting to skip minutes or seconds.
Had a go at producing my first DVD last evening but it whilst saying burning had been successful, the disk stuck after three minutes of play. Will try again with another disk of different make tonight. One last niggly problem is that the bottom of the ULead screen is partially obscured by my double height windows taskbar ie the program does not resize. Any thoughts anyone??
best wishes.

Resize your task bar by right clicking on the task bar and un-selecting "lock the task bar" by removing the tick.
Place your mouse on the upper part of the task bar until the mouse icon changes to a line with two arrows one at either end and left click and hold down the mouse button.
Drag the line down towards the bottom of your screen and the task bar should minimise to a smaller version.
Don't forget to re-lock your task bar when finished by puting the tick back.
Your other problem about the sticking DVD.............. is it sticking on your standalone home DVD player or on your PC?
You will probably have a compatibility problem if it's sticking or failing to play on your home standalone player.
I had the same problems. I had to go and buy a cheap ASDA Pacific DVD player.
I'm sure this Pacific player would play a piece of toast with jam and butter on. It plays anything I've thrown at it.
Hope this all helps

Hi stan --
You mention "those little up/down arrows to the right of the time register." If you select the minutes number by click-wiping with your mouse, you can type in another number and then click outside the box somewhere. That lets you jump back or forward by any number of minutes, instantly. Same with seconds or hours.
