Hello,
I started to work now with HD clips captured from my new HD camcorder.
At the EDIT step, the play back of the entire project is not smooth, there is no continuity of the video and the audio.
After the SHARE/CREATE VIDEO FILE step, the play back runs good. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Abraham

Hi Abraham
Project Playback can be a problem when working with HD (Avchd) files, especially when using a lower spec’ pc.
I think Corel recommend a minimum computer spec’ of a duel core, but many have problems and a Quad core would be better.
Others on the forum may expand on the PC spec issue.
Video Studio uses Smart Proxy, this helps improve editing and playback speeds.
Make sure that your files have had Smart Proxy files fully created.
View Systems-Smart Proxy Manager, the proxy files names will represent you video files names.
A small double icon is placed within the thumbnail/clip to show smart proxy has been created.
When you finally Share Create Video File, what type are you making?

Re: VS PRO X4- Play back of entire project
Thank you Trevor,
I have opened the "smart proxy file manager" and there was only one clip in the list, and it seems that it is not from my current project which includes 22 clips. How can I had them to the list?
The type of my final video file is: AVCHD (1920X1080P).
Best Regards,
Abraham

Hi
Proxy files are created automatically when you add /insert a HD clip to the timeline.
however the creation prosess does take some time, so if you close VS before this is completed then the prosess will be terminated.
For clips already in the timeline......
Right click the clip on the timeline and select create proxy files.
using Shift + Click should allow to select all clips.
Now viewing the Proxy-Queue manager will show the files being created, be patient.......
