For the last 2 weeks, I have been unable to use PSP for some reason. It will start up, but crashes for some odd reason. I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling the program and still have a problem. I zipped up and moved images so the program does not see them (some 6GB worth) and I still get crashes. I searched this forum today looking for an answer and tried deleting the messages from the AppData\Roaming folder and still the program crashes. It appears it is the message center that is causing it as I cannot get a way to close the message center, especially when the message center gets the large window border that a normal window has.
What could be causing said problem. I like the program and have used it for years, but I am close to pulling my hair out.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Ultimate Photo X2
Welcome to the forums,
I've been trying to find an answer however I'm getting stumped. When you uninstalled the program, did you do a simple uninstall or a full uninstall? To do a full/manual uninstall read the KnowledgeBase Article
Also when you re-install the program have you installed the update? If not you can do so HERE.
I did read one KB article, where Norton 360 was causing a problem with PSP X2, and it wasn't until this past May, that Norton (Symantic) issued a patch. Don't know if you might have Norton 360 installed. I stopped using Norton a very long time ago. It has a bad rep for causing major problems with programs.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Ultimate Photo X2
Sorry for the delay in replying to this. Thanks for the link to the article on uninstalling everything. I followed everything on said page and was able to reinstall PSP X2 and get the program to run properly.
The patch you linked to is no good for the version I have as it is for 12.0 and I have is 12.5 and tells me I have a newer version. I have Norton Internet Security but not 360. Still, everything is fine now and can use it as before. Again, thank you for the link and thanks for the welcome to the forum.
