VHS Video Capture Problem

VHS Video Capture Problem
I recently purchased a Hauppage 250 video Capture and Editing Card and have no success capturing from my VHS Recorder (Sharp VC A125). Capturing live TV works fine. However, this error "Cannot Render Streaming Video" occurs each time I click on "Capture Video" from the VCR.
I believe this is caused by a setting in Ulead MF 3SE, but I am blowed if I can find the setting.
Any help gratefully accepted

On the ulead website updates for MF there are drivers for your capture
device that should installed. I guess you installed them if your capturing
TV within MF.
I guess your changing the input to composite or s-video?
It your feeding the video into the capture devices antenna try connecting
it to the s-video or composite cable. Then in MF you select that input
under "Advanced".
Most people use the software that came with the unit to capture with
because it was specifically written for the usb device.
After you capture a video(s) with the devices supplied software you then
import the video(s) into MF.
MF treats analog captures as "Upper Field First" (Field B).
Hope this helps,

Codec YUV?
Thanks for your good advice. However, after updating ULEAD MF3 SE and attempting to capture video.
ULEAD MovieFactory Dialog Box says:
"MPEG Capture does not Accept HCW2 codec.
Please change a suitable codec from video format selection
It is reccommended to use (1) YUV Codec first, then (2) RGB-24 codec"
Yes, I have selected "Video Composite" in the Advanced Settings for the "Input Source".
Under Advanced setttings "Video Audio and Capture Property Settings" there doesn't appear to be any setting to select ?
Where in MF3SE do I change the codec?

When you go into the Capture screen directly to the left of the preview
screen is an "Arrow" Icon pointing down.
Click on that to display additional settings.
Then click on "Advanced Settings"
The "Change Capture Plugin" should be listed (available).
If you have installed the drivers your device should show up
in that screen.
Hope this helps,

George,
I don't know what you are NOT doing. However, this is what I did. I recorded the VHS tape using WinTV 2000 with a composite connection to the PC. Then using Ulead MF3SE I Selected "Create Video Disk" DVD, then OK, then Add Video Files, then in the MyVideos Folder I selected the captured file "something.mpg" and clicked OK, then I selected Create Menu and clicked NEXT, I changed the Motion Menu to 10sec, then clicked NEXT, I Previewed the Motion Menu and clicked Next after changing the Title and image caption. On the next screen I selected Record to Disk, Record Format DVD-Video, Advanced "Standard", Options I left as set, (I noticed) there was a NEXT button which disappeared, so then I clicked OUTPUT and you get a dialog saying "Project content has changed" ..... click OK. Depending on how much Menu stuff it has to process this process could take a few minutes. You then will get a progress bar showing the Menu Motion conversion process and a bar showing Total Progess. And if you wait long enough you PC should spit out a disk from the burner.
