Re: VS X4 and GoPro HD (.mp4) videos
Hello All,
Just got a the response regarding the missing “H264VDec.dll” file. The problem is that the zip file really does contain only 1 file and that's the “ulmp4lib.dll” the problem was with the steps and it inadvertently included the “H264VDec.dll” file. The KB has been updated and the entry for the “H264VDec.dll” file has been removed.
I do apologize for any confusion on the steps.

Re: VS X4 and GoPro HD (.mp4) videos
I also take a lot of footage with the gopro - usually 1280x720. If I rename the file extension .mov, they seem to load up fine on VS Pro X4. I do find it strange that what is fast becoming the most popular sports cam in the world (it least it appears that way to me...) is not catered for in it's native format.
update.... interestingly, the changing of the .mp4 file extension to .mov worked on my Vista machine, but not on my new Windows 7 machine. However, replacing the .dll file did the trick and now all the GoPro .mp4 files play/preview/edit without problems.
Thanks guys.

Re: VS X4 and GoPro HD (.mp4) videos
Hi
Quick question. If you have installed X4 after Decemeber 20, 2011; do you still have to do this hot fix? For example:
ulmp4lib.dll I have noticed that the date modified on the hot fix file is Jun 23/11 and the date on my file after the install is Nov 18/11
Thanks
Jeff
PS I have installed SP!

this fix did not work for me. I applied both dll's, but videostudeio still crashes every time I try to use gopro files. I cannot view or render the files. But the files play normally in other programs like windows media player.

I'm the same way. I've edited with GoPro HD video just a couple of times but it always works perfectly. Here's a video I did with the GoPro content at about 4:06 into the video:phaseman wrote:Got to be honest, never had problem with GoPro HD, guess I'm just lucky.

The only problem was that the racetrack was wet and the camera's weatherproof case quickly got smeared with dirt... only the first couple minutes of video was usable. The video all edited perfectly.

Re: VS X4 and GoPro HD (.mp4) videos
Hi folks. I have browsed this thread and am not sure if my current problem is the same as the one being talked about. to fill you in, I have had a GoPro Hero for a year and have been able to import video clips to VS ProX4 Ultimate with no problem whatever. I just purchased a Hero2 model and I can no longer import to the library or timeline without getting the error message 'File Mismatch'. Both my old Hero and new Hero2 supposedly have the same file system, so I don't know what gives here. I do note a fix on this thread, though it seems there are still a couple of problems with it, and not being a computer wiz am a little unsure about deleting operating files and adding others. First things first. Is anyone having he same problem getting GoPro Hero2 files to work in ProX4 Ultimate?
Re: VS X4 and GoPro HD (.mp4) videos
Same here, can not import a GOPRO Hero2 mp4 file. Files from the GOPRO Hero work though.

Re: VS X4 and GoPro HD (.mp4) videos
It's not ideal, but you might try using conversion software to convert the file to something VS x5 recognizes. I've used a free program called MPEG Streamclip to covert cellphone video files when I couldn't get the originals to load in VS, and it might do the trick for GoPro video. Here's the link to the download page: http://www.squared5.com. When all else failed, I used MPEG Streamclip to convert files to AVI format, which VS x3 and x4 always handled fine.

This is how I found it. Go here and log on to your account http://www.corel.com/corel/
Then go here for instructions and zip file with fix files to patch into the corel directory
http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... roductSubC
Alternatively after logging in go support/getanswers/knowledgebase and search Gopro
