Hi,
Just burned my first DVD+ disk and received no error messages. It's a test disk with three clips on it totaling about 500 mb. It was a last straw effort because I couldn't burn VCDs or SVCDs that would work on my stand alone DVD players.
The DVD played great on the stand alone players . . . EXCEPT when it got to the end of the final clip - maybe 10 to 15 seconds left. It just stopped and returned to the menu.
While searching the forum yesterday trying to solve the VCD/SVCD issue, I could swear I ran across a posting of a similar problem. I've jsut spent about an hour trying to find it but can't.
Anyone have any ideas why the DVD would crap out with only seconds left in the final clip?
Many thanks,
LGO

Hi JC,
Thanks for your reply and for the tip about putting on a trailer, but I don't think it would work in my instance.
The last video clip is merely a slide show I made into MPEG. It's small, only 16 slides with prefatory titles and background music; 2 min 59 secs, total. After slide 16 I fade to black for about 5 secs and fade out the music.
When playing the DVD it gets to slide 15 for a beat or two and then abruptly stops the video and goes to the menu. The abrupt stop to the music is what gives it away to the viewer (if they didn't know slide 16 was still coming).
So, I could add a trailer by making the black after slide 16 longer, but I would have to fade out the music a lot earlier.
In thinking about it, the trailer idea might work just fine but in my case it would be solving the symptom and not the cause. I dunno, maybe I'll give it a shot.
Thanks again for your reply!
