PaintShop Pro Ultimate X3 won't run.

Post by MAP85086 »

I installed PaintShop Pro Ultimate X3 several months ago. It worked fine initially, but then stopped running and gave me an error message pertaining to a language error. In an effort to fix the problem, I have completely uninstalled the application and removed all of its registry entries. I then reinstalled the program, which appeared to be successful, however, now it simply will not run and gives no error message whatsoever. When you click the desktop icon, it tries to load momentarily, then does nothing more.

I have removed my virus protection and my User Account Control. I've never had this happen with any program and will appreciate any suggestions anyone may have. - Thanks

It appears that you are getting the DetectLanguage() Failure message. You can follow the steps from this KB http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... o-Photo-X3 to fix the issue.

Thanks for your note. I had originally reported this problem to technical support and they gave me the same directions for fixing the language detect problem. I made the registry suggested change, but it did not correct the problem.

Since that time, I have completely uninstalled the application and deleted all registry entries under /Corel and /Ulead. After reinstalling the product, it still does not work. It attempts to load and stops without any error message. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Thank you.
