I got stuck, and need some help from you guys.
The problem is that when I put a 2minute film in AVI format it works great, but I want to put a piece of it, so I use option to cut the film and I'm doing from it let's say 30s clip. The problem now begins, because when I play this clip in "Clip" option tagged I got the sound, when I change it to "Project" the sound vanishes... Using full film the sound is available in "Clip" mode and "Project" mode.
I need some help appriciate.

Re: Cutting the film and lack of sound?
Unfortunately, there are over 800 different film types which use the .avi extension, which is only really a wrapper format. So we have absolutely no idea what you are editing. You need to right click on one of the clips witin VS, either in the timeline or library window, and copy ALL its properties here, please. Then at least we might be able to guess at some kind of reply...

Re: Cutting the film and lack of sound?
The problem could be with your video using MP3 for the audio. VS has had a problem with certain MP3 audio files, especially those using the Lame codec, for a long time. Try converting your video file to some other format before you bring it into VS. If you're intending on producing a video DVD, I would suggest converting it to MPEG-2.
There's several conversion programs around. One that has been recommended here is Super by erightsoft.com.

Re: Cutting the film and lack of sound?
It seems VS does not like poor audio coding...
