I checked my VS X4, and it too has only 8 HD DVD menus. Where to get more? Don't know. They have made it possible to create, upload and share Instant Project menus, however neglected the DVD menus. There is a major problem with creating and sharing DVD menus. These must be accompanied by other files, and use the PhotoImpact proprietary UFO image file format. This is something Corel has been approached by several of us, numerous times since they decided to discontinue PhotoImpact. It was the only program that you could build DVD Menu templates from scratch. It would also be great if they at least provided additional DVD Menu templates for users to download, either freebies or purchase.

The templates on photovideolife.com, are Instant Project templates, not DVD menu templates. There's a huge difference in them. Corel needs to get with the program, and provide the same type of outlet for DVD menu templates. Their competitors have been doing this for several years now.

Heck we started requesting this sort of thing way back with Ulead, and now Corel. For some reason they just don't get it, or choose to ignore it.

Hi guys,
I know that this thread is being looked at by Corel support, but just to add a little fuel to the fire, I went onto the Corel Your Way board and posted a question about getting additional HD menus for XS X4. Now we will wait to see what their response is to my request.

Keep up the good work. I check this board daily and have gotten a lot of good information from it.

Oh really? You know something that we don't? About the only forum/topic Corel looks at is the Wishlist.... ;)

You're correct Jeff, I was talking about Abiel. But, I think Ron was just yanking my chain a bit. Maybe we should put this request into the Wishlist as well. Or, it might already be there. I have'nt checked yet.

Well, I think Abiel is more along the lines of customer support. I don't think he has anything to do with programming or product development. I think that was what Ron was referring to.

Hi everyone,
I have been working with the folks at Corel Your Way for the last few weeks to get some additional disk creation menus made available.
They have come through with several High Def and Standard Def menus. The following link will take you to the PhotoVideoLife site and there is a link on that page to download the new disk menus. These are not Instant Project templates, but disk menus to be used when doing the Create Disk step in the Share tab in VideoStudio Pro X4.

I hope you find these helpful.

Sorry for the duplicate postings Ken. But I thought that, as there were two threads with similar topics, this would assure that all interested Users got the information.

That's OK. Normally we frown on double posting, but with this, it is useful information which needs to be widely disseminated IMHO!
