When I take clips from my video library and drag it to the timeline and press play, it will play clips that aren't even in my timeline or in the library. It will play clips that I thought I deleted from my library, and continue from the first to last.
So could someone please inform me on how to
1. Preview clips in my library without placing them in the timeline
2. Delete clips from my library
3. Preview what is put in my timeline
I'd appreciate the help thank you

The play icon (triangle shaped button below preview window) has two labels: "Project" and "Clip". If "Project" is highlighted, then the timeline will preview in the window. If "Clip" is highlighted, then the clip that has been selected (in the Library or in the timeline) will preview.
You can delete Library icons by selecting them and pressing the Delete key. If you also want to delete the file that is pointed to by the icon, press Shift-Delete.
