Can anyone suggest a good special effect software that runs well with VS Pro x4?

Some suggested Adobe cs4.

The Adobe program would probably be After Effects. However, that is designed to work more with Adobe Premiere, and more to the point, costs several times the price of Video Studio.

New Blue Video Essentials works well with VS, though the individual packages there too are a little expensive. However, from time to time they offer special deals.

Hi Ken

Would after effects still work, I have been given a free copy?

Does Blue Video Essentials, allow animation and laser effects?

Thanks

After Effects is top end professional... It can import a wide variety of video files, and output a more limited number of formats, some of which you might possibly be able to use in a fairly standard project. But it is really a program for the more professional user, and the learning curve is steep indeed. It works best both importing Adobe proprietary formats in high definition (e.g. .m4v) and will output in the same format, but this format as far as I am aware is only recognised by Adobe...

Thanks again Ken.

I'm still learning VS, might be awhile before I get all tricky with my video's.
