Hi, I've set up a fade out for a black and white background image, and I had to make a special Multiple Color gradient, so that I could concentrate the fade out at only the bottom fifth of the image, as I want the top four fifths to be untouched.
I want to save this custom gradient that I have made, but it only appears in the Fade Out dialogue box, in the Palette Ramp Editor, not in the conventional Gradient Fill box. I know it's a special set of gradients because they only allow you to select greys, not colours. I need to save these custom gradients so that I can go back to them in the future, after a reinstallation, etc. in case I need to change the background images.
Can anybody help?
How can I save Palette Ramp gradient?

Re: How can I save Palette Ramp gradient?
If you make the gradient in the Palette Ramp Editor you can Add it. Give the gradient a name and it will remain until you delete it.
In effect, you are saving the gradient.
In effect, you are saving the gradient.

Re: How can I save Palette Ramp gradient?
Thanks for your reply, but what happens when I reinstall PI? Won't I lose any palette ramp gradients that I've set up?

Unfortunately, yes. Every software has its limitations.
