Page Turn Transitions

Post by MLSM »

Hi, am using VS ProX3 & have just purchased PaintShop ProX3. PaintShop has a very nice page transition in the photobook section & I would love to have that, or something like it, available for VS. I've searched the forum for any info on a page turn transition that actually looks like a page turning....does anyone know of a transition like this for VS?

I tried the slideshows in Paintshop but had difficulty with using various sized photos & the panning effects, etc. So I created my project again as a photobook & it was superb as far as that went....I'd like to time the animation of those pages (similar to MS PowerPoint transitions) & add music BUT I cannot seem to accomplish that there. Next I saved all pages as .jpg, imported those to VS & created a very nice movie with available transitions, music, titles, etc. This is acceptable, BUT I would love to have that particular "page turning" transition for VS.....any thoughts on something that would be available/compatible with VS.

Thank you.

Hi

I don’t have Paintshop so not exactly sure what you are after, I am sure other users will comment.

Video Studio has some Album transitions, not sure how many as they have been downsized somewhat, but you can Customise them giving more options.

Are the Album transitions what you are looking for.

Hi, my VS ProX3 only has 1 transition under "Album" & it is not a realistic page turn at all. I have found something fantastic, although expensive. I would consider spending a good amount of money for this type of product if it were compatible with VS. Look at this tutorial...this is the exact effect I'm looking for. The Corel PaintShop Pro utilizes this type of thing in their photobook section BUT I don't see how to automate the animation OR save/export/convert the finished product into something that can be utilized in VS so that it can have titles, music, etc. added & be rendered for DVD output. (Photobook does render for Silverlight, but I haven't been able to get that finished work into VS in any way)

VS does have a flip transition. Don't know if customizing it would make it look like you want.

You may want to check the NewBlue transitions.

It appears that you are referring to the effects that you see when you create a Photobooks using project creator. I'm not sure if you can get that and use it on videoStudio but like Black Lab said, you can use the FLIP Effect of Videostudio.
