problems with MF4 using avi files

Post by VideoGoat »

I downloaded MF4 and loved it, I'm was not a big Ulead fan to begin with, but this program changed my mind, until I tried to burn a few discs with it. I already had some avi files I captured with my Pinnacle DV500 card, but when I tried to burn some dvd's with MF4, the video is not full screen,
it strechs out the video and looks bad, almost looks like it is trying to letterbox it. I checked to make sure it was on the right settings, it was on 4:3, 720x480,, so I can't figure it out. I burned the same files with Sonic
My DVD and had no problems. It almost bends the video inward and slants it, like it is melting. Is this because I'm putting in avi files? I
don't think that would make a diffrence, would it? I also bought my
copy from the Uk, I'm in the states, would that make any diffrence?

Anyone know what might be the issue with MF4?

I hear people say MF3 is better then MF4, can you make motion and music backgrounds with 3? what are the main diffrences between the two.
