No interlaced MOV video in VSX3/4?

Post by erdna »

Whichever video format I have on the timeline or in the batch converter, I never can find a setting to create interlaced MOV video's with VSX3. Is this correct?

Hi

Mov as a quick time file and destined for the internet I would expect the video to use Frame Based.
As far as i know you cannot interlace Mov files.

MOV is a container like AVI, so there will be interleaved file formats within the MOV container.
I suspect that Corel have not paid for a licence to get more MOV file formats, so you might find that buying quicktime pro might give you better choice.

Aha, good question, making dvds on a Mac I suppose, you'd start with your interlaced dv.mov file and turn it into an mpeg2.
Like avi has well over 800 different file types, MOV is just the Apple equivalent and I believe has a fair few different types of files wrapped up in it.

No, I am not on MAC. I want to get the best possible "DV to ?" conversion for my mediaplayer. See my new thread on mediaplayers
