Badly flickering motion menu clips

Post by uleadboy »

Hi

I am working on a family compilation of clips and was wanting to make it look really good with a menu - no problem with my outputted dvd - just the motion menus are flickering quite badly. The dvd clips are playing no probs on normal playback and I have a photo album on one of the menu selections and it plays really well. Its just the motion menus within the menu that shake - the rest of the menu looks okay - not shaking or anything.

Anyone come across this? I have always on anti-flicker against every setting when it comes up when create and save. Maybe its the style of menu I have selected? does the choice of motion menu border matter?

any help appreciated!

What's Shaking?

What's shaking, the button borders, or the actual video in the motion menu/button? If it's the borders, it might be too thin -- try a wider border.

The whole border around the motion menu clip is shaking - the playback within the border is shaking (perhaps because the border is shaking). Funny enough the navigation buttons are as they should be - no problems with them. The family picture I scanned and used as a background and sound all worked fine - no shaking.

I used a reasonable sized border i think it was dark blue towards the bottom of the custom menu settings, justs checked it out its F042 with Layout L0203. The photobackground is a family picture and uses up half of the screen - saved as full resol 720x576 PAL dimension. The whole layout really looks the part when I checked it out on uleads test dvd interface before I when clicked on NEXT to save to disk - none of the shaking present on my pc.

Then after burning.... shaking motion menu on both my pc and standalone dvd player.

I will have to play around with maybe different borders maybe - this will take alot of time rendering - or drop the whole motion menu thing altogether - I would hate to do this as it really looked the part on screen when I was making it up.
