Hi, I just got videostudio x4, and needless to say I'm a rookie and i tried using my help command and unfortunately, it could not connect to internet. I have a dvd that I had made from some old vhs tapes and the lighting is very poor in spots and I would like to brighten it up after I download it and I know that it is part of the color tab. But I just can't seem to locate the color tab on my menu or screen. Can anyone help a rookie with this dumb question? i have jut started to use this program. Help please??

Hi Bobby
There are some/lots video filters that can be applied to your video clips, Auto Levels, Auto Exposure, Brightness etc
With your clips in the timeline select the FX icon right of preview screen.
Drag the appropriate filter to your clip.
You can cut your clip using the scissors to apply the filter to a smaller section.
The filter can be “Customised” / select the Options button far right.
You can now select Customise Filter. Not all can be customised but the option to do so may be available.
When available you should be able to add key-frames allowing you to change the effect through-out the clip.

Thanks Trever,
I really apprechiate it. I have two last questions. How much ram is necessary to operate videostudio x4 efficienly? (I have 8 Gigs of ram, is that enough?) I was copying my video from a DVD to Corelvideostudio and it locked up? Could my screensaver have kicked in and locked it up?

Hi Bobby
Yep I think 8 Gb of ram is ample.
Press F1 for help, then view Welcome-System Requirements.
Can you fill in your profile to include your PC specification, inserting Belarc Advisor doesn’t tell us much.

How were you copying the DVD to Video Studio?
You should be using the Insert Media option.
Is the disc copy write protected?
