Hello,
I want to create a movie using video studio x4
I have around 20 folders with pictures and videos
I want to add all of them to the list of folders in the Video studio x4 folder list so i will have all the media organized there for editing
I dont know how to add all the folders automatically, is there an easy way to do it?
I tryed to drag and drop but it wont let me,
Any idea how to do it without creating each folder on its own (it will be lots of work)
Thanks in advance

Re: Automatic add folders to the list of folders
Welcome to the forums,
You will need to manually create the folders in VS. Just click on the Add button in the library, it will add a folder, and just name it, you might even use the same name as the folder names on your system. Once that is done, select one of the folders, press Browse, the Folder icon at the top left, or right-click in the library pane and select insert media file. Then navigate to the folder containing the clips. You can select all the clips you want to insert to a library folder, using the common windows selection methods. When you use the Browse command, you drag-n-drop them, with the folder icon you press the Open button.
You do know that you're not importing the actual clips into the program, ie; you're not creating copies of them. You're just creating thumbnail links.

Re: Automatic add folders to the list of folders
Thank you Ron for the answer,
I do know this method and indeed its working,
but i assumed there is an automatic way to import the whole folder system as is to the list of folders (as you said pointer to the actual folder\file)
If i am dealing with lots of folders then i will have to work very hard just to arrange the work environment.
I guess there isnt drag and drop to the folder list?
Thanks

Re: Automatic add folders to the list of folders
You can using the INSERT MEDIA FILE TO LIBRARY > INSERT DIGITAL MEDIA > On the next screen, click on the SELECT IMPORT FOLDERS > place a checkmark on the folder where the photos and videos are located, then click on START. That should do the trick.
