Videostudio Trial Version

Hi, I am a new entry.
A few days ago I tried the trial version of Videostudio. I managed to transfer my film from the camcorder to the computer but I failed in two functions:

1) To save the film after deleting a few clips. (There is no icon to save)

2) To see each clip after pressing the kay play. I can hear the sounds of the clip but the screen is black.

Those two were the functions I tried so far.

I wonder if that happens because the trial version is intentionally incomplete or because my computer is not suitable for the program (RAM: 2 GB, HD 80 GB, free 40 GB)

To save you use the share button and then choose where/how you save.

What file type are you using? If you don't know right click on the file in the timeline and choose properties, or tell us the make and model of camcorder.

The trial version is 100% complete and has all the functions and capabilities of the purchased version - it just doesn't let you use it for more than 30 days

To 'Save' an edited film , click on the 'Share' tab at the top and you will then be presented with a number of options such as 'Create Video File' , 'Create DVD' etc.

As Graham has said we need to know a bit more about your film type to answer the black screen part - and it would also help if you filled in the rest of your computer specification in your personal profile so that it appears at the right like mine - that will help to see if the problem is system related..

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think it does not have all the menu templates, and maybe a limited number of sample clips. They do this to keep the download to a reasonable size.

The file is AVCHD standard, video AVC/H.264, Audio Dolby Digital (2ch). The camcorder is a JVC GZ-HM330.

I have the instructions in Italian and I did not find the share button. There is no save the film as when right clicking.

On the top I have the following: (I translate from Italian): Import, Create, Print, Share. Ah Share, perhaps.

The features of the computer are: Microsoft Windows XP Profesional, Ver 2002. service pack 3. Intel Pentium (R) M processor 2.00 GB RAM. Video board: Mobile Intel (R) 915GM/GMS, 910 GML Express Chipset Family. PC Uniprocessor ACP.

I managed to save the file. The remaining problem is the black screen when playing a clip

If you are getting a black screen when previewing or playing the video, this can be a codec or directx issue. downloading the latest updates of codecs will help fix this problem.
