more crashing

Regarding X3, I've read posts concerning crashes caused by "preview on image" being checked and used while making adjustments. Yup, I'll buy that, considering it happens almost every time I forget to uncheck that box. Here's a screen shot from earlier, but it may be hard to read since I had to resize it due to posting limitations.

If I've saved my file at regular intervals, there's usually not that much lost as far as data. But sometimes, the program won't even launch until the computer is restarted. With several other windows and projects open, that my friends is a Grade "A" pain in my big fat rear. Nevertheless, the main problem here is X3's inability to function as stable software. PSP is a great program....when it works.

I have similar problems. I have X3 - clean install, all latest patches and updates - but it crashes often. It seems to happen when I am adjusting anything on the Brightness & Contrast submenu. I get a message from Windows saying the program has stopped respondinig and Windows is searching for a solution. It never finds a solution and I have to restart PSP. At least I have learned to se my work in progress very often!
Anyone else having this problem?

I managed to work for an hour and a half yesterday, with no crashes. I simply used the preview window on every command that has one, including ones I never used to: contrast, saturation and local tone adjustment. I'd much rather see the adjustments on the image itself as near to full screen as I can have it, but if all I have to do is use the preview window to eliminate the majority of program crashes, I'll get by.

@Papa, you may want to perform a manual uninstallation then reinstall the program using your disc or redownnload it from your corel account, then download all updates from http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 9872271743

To manually remove the program: http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... oto-Pro-X3

Just be glad you're not still using PSP 8... under 64 bit Windows 7 that thing would crash if you so much as try to drag a crop area. X3 only crashes like two percent as often.

I have a new install and I have installed all the updates. I still get this message: Unhandled exception code 119. Command could not complete because there is no active document. I'm usually trying to edit photos in the express lab. I get done with one or two and it crashes.
