Hi, I've been working on a project (original is HD footage) and got a successful render to SD DVD. In trying to render a copy for my ipod i get an added audio problem no matter what ipod setting VSP x3 offers me. It's a background distortion, similar to that of clip that goes in very slow motion and the audio is echoing with reverb. The background noise appears to be in continual " waves"
However, the clip does look excellent otherwise in picture, vocals, musically etc. What do you think is the problem?

Re: ipod audio
Hi Phil,
Have you tried using the Custom menu option? Look at the Properties for one of the iPod templates, then using the Custom menu option, use the same properties except for the audio. You can change the various attributes for the audio compression. So you would;
Out of curiosity, what are the properties of your video file(s) used in your project? You can right-click on them in the timeline or library, select properties and post them here. If you're using MP3 audio, try converting that to WAV and using the WAV audio in your project.

- Select Share Create Video File>Custom
- In the Save as File type choose MPEG-4
- Press the Options button
- Now go to the Compression tab, set the Video Type (codec) to M4VSP
- The audio attributes are located at the bottom, you have AAC and AMR. If the audio of your video is mainly speech, you can try using the AMR, as it is optimized for speech. AAC is the successor for MP3, and really should give you better results than the AMR.
- The template uses a Frequency of 48000Hz, try changing that to 44100Hz
- You might also try changing the Bitrate to 256kbps.
