Just got Visual Studio Pro X4. My first experience with VS. A friend gave me a number of projects she had been working on with an earlier version. When I try to open a project (.VSP file) I get an error.
File is already open. (See attached screen capture.)
This happens with every project I try to open. Any ideas what is wrong?
File is already oin use.

Re: File is already oin use.
How were you "given" these VSPs? Is it just the VSP, or do you also have the clips that go with the project?
What version were these VSPs made with?
Does this error happen with only the VSPs that were given to you? What happens if you make your own VSP? Can you open it?
BTW, it's VIDEOStudio. Visual Studio is a completely different program.

From the screen shot that you posted, it's on a different drive. Is that a network drive or a USB Drive? If it's on a network drive, make sure that the file is not open on her computer. If that's on a USB Drive, and you are just using the same computer but different user name, restarting the computer will help free up some resources.
