this is a strange one. anyone else have this issue ?
i recently upgraded my copy of WinDVD via the in-app update feature.
everything installed. then, AVG anti-virus complained that one of the DLLs was infected with a virus, and quaranteened it. and that was the end of WinDVD2010.
my only means of reinstalling WinDVD was to use the link in my original order email. which actually worked. and now WinDVD 2010 works. sort of.
i've noticed that whenever a certain shade of red appears on the screen when playing blu-rays, the red becomes pixelated. it even starts pulsating and changing shape. this doesn't happen on DVDs, only blu-rays. and i've just noticed it only happens on blu-rays encoded with AVC. VC1 titles are fine. this all seems similar to a chroma bug i used to have on an old projector. anytime red was displayed, pixelation wasn't far behind.
i'm wondering if the file i downloaded had this bug. this may not have been the official "latest" version.
anyone know how i can get the latest build of WinDVD2010 ? (not the patches page, that needs WinDVD2010 installed).
Or ... anyone else experience this issue ? to say that it's annoying would be just scratching the surface.
thanks

You may want to check the build version of your WinDVD, it should be 10.0.5.819.119564, if not you may want to disable AVG first then perform the in app update by opening the COREL GUIDE, then click on the 2 gears icon then select CHECK FOR UPDATES.
