Re: How to make fading colors in Corel Paintshop Photo
You know, one of my friends from college was named Greg Washington....though these two don't look a like at all.
But as for the effect that's easy.
There are two ways, one involves only an extra layer the other involves an extra layer and a mask layer.
First one
1) Create a new layer above your image.
2) On the materials palette select "Gradient" and pick one that fits your requirements. Or make your own (use the transparency sliders)
3) Grab the fill tool and simply click on the new layer and it'll fill it in for you.
Second one
1) Create a new layer above your image.
2) On the materials palette select the color you want to blend into the picture
3) Grab the fill tool and simply click on the new layer and it'll fill in the color.
4) With the colored layer selected create a new mask layer
5) Select the mask layer
6) Select Gradient from the materials palette and select one with white at the bottom and black at the top(0 angle possible turn Invert on)
7) Use the fill tool to fill the gradient on the mask layer
