MPEG2 Encoded elsewhere

Post by cablehead »

No matter what software I use to create an MPEG2 file...I get contains no
video data when adding to a MF4 DVD project.

G-spot always says the file is already dvd ready.

Im converting an .avi.

What are the attributes of your mpeg2 files? resolution, bitrate, audio type, etc...?

What was used to encode the original .avi videos, and what type are the original .avi's?

Can any software play your mpeg2 videos? Like PowerDVD or WinDVD?

Yes I can play the files in PowerDVD, Windows Media etc.

The last file was orig an XviD.

Last file I tried attributes:

TYPE mpeg2-video
RES 720 x 480
AUDIO 48000Hz CBR 192

Container:
MPEG2 program stream
Sys Bitrate 9550 VBR

try fully removing mf4 and mf3 if you have it on your system (or any older version)

then re install mf4. I had this problem, and this was how i fixed it, although it wasnt with all mpeg2 clips, just some...
