Proxy settings

Post by phaseman »

Clearly I must be doing something wrong.

Loaded a MPEG-4 Media File 3Gb, went to setting, clicked on Smart Proxy cue manager, waited 40min and clicked ok. I check my Smart proxy file manger and it was there. My power went out, when I reload CV my files in Proxy manager were no longer there, and my file is back to being slow and jerky, that means I have redo this again.

does this mean I have to cue manger everytime I wish to work with the same file?

Is there any where I can learn how to properly use CV?

First, can we assume your repeated reference to "CV" is to Video Studio ("VS" to all of us here)? If not, then to exactly what are you referring?

oops yes you're correct. :?

Hi

What do you mean by “My power went out”

Do you mean the program or PC crashed.

Smart Proxy
1 / View the File Manager, do files exist there, one file should have a similar name to your video file, if not…
2 / Add your video to the timeline, smart proxy files should be created
3/ check the content of the Proxy File Manager
4 / View the Queue manager for completion of the proxy files.
5 / Exit Video Studio and then Open
Viewing the Proxy File Manager are the files still there?

Hi
I am certain that this has been posted before, I have tried a search without success.

I would suspect that the power outage has corrupted some files.
If so maybe a re-install is in order.

First there is a folder (14,0) here:-
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro

Please rename the folder to 14.0copy.
Starting Video Studio will create a new 14.0 folder, this will practically reset VS to its default state.

Does the Smart Proxy now work correctly?

If you need to retain your libraries content, first use Settings – Library Manager to Export the libraries.
