working graphic equalizer for vs4
I am new to board and VS4, but have read topics. I have tried several free vst's for adjusting audio split from my band's recording, but all seem not to work or are unstable (they do show in list). Have talked to tech support and they say that there are no vst's available from Corel. All I really need is a simple EQ, maybe 5-7 bands to enhance what I get from my little handheld recorder. To clarify, I need a tone control plug-in. Help in this, and other free audio filter enhancements would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

I'd search for some free audio software which does what you want, take the audio into this, work on it, save it out as a wav and put in the timeline.

I have the Kjaerhus plug-ins and they work well, although I haven't yet installed them in X4.

What file type does your recorder record in?
I always use audacity to do my audio editing, but I take in a wav and output a wav.
MP3 can cause problems due to the way they are made, if you have a choice with your recorder, opt for wav, retain some quality
