Can't prewiev

Post by bengtohlsson »

I have newly installed Corel Video Studio Pro X4. When I create a project I can prewiev each clip separately, but not all clips as a project. In this case I only wiev a few frames each time I press start:???

Unfortunately, we simply do not have enough information to be able to make even a reasonable guess at a solution.

As skier-hughes has said, we have no idea what your video format is, but we also need all sorts of other information, such as what kind of camcorder or other device was used to film it.

Please have a look at this sticky post at the top of this forum -- it is called, indicatively, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=41454#p41454 Then get back to us with the information requested and hopefully someone will be able to help.

avi is just a wrapper it is the bit preceeding the .avi that is important, such as dv.avi or divx.avi

Do you get any preview from any file? ie, cna you preview a picture but not the video, or is it every file?

Have you got the very latest drivers for your graphics card from it's manufacturer?

Have you got the latest DirectX installed?

Have you got the right codecc for the video files installed?

Well, I´m not a experiensed user but I think I have the latest drivers etc. The files I´m usin is scenes captured from my video camera and they are named uvsxxxxxx.avi. I also use photos. I also use clips from the video studio library. I can wiev them one by one, but not as project. /Bengt

Did you follow the instructions to see if you **DO** have the latest drivers, I'm afraid thinking is no good.

Follow the instructions on this page to find out what type of avi it is.

If you put two clips from the VS library in a new project do these work ok?

XviD: http://downloads.xvid.org/downloads/xvidcore-1.3.1.zip
