Running a new Sony F series 3D Laptop, with 8GB of RAM. When I was in the OEM WinDVD BD software, the Pirates 4 trailer would work in 3D, but then the playback would stutter for the next trailer. If I skip the trailer or go straight to the menu, the menu starts and then WinDVD locks up. And then the only way you can fix the computer is to do a hard shut down since WinDVD takes full control of the graphics in 3D mode. Asked Sony about updates, got some...non-helpful responses.
Thought the full version could fix it, so I bought it. SAME problem. The Tron Legacy 3D menu freezes the system. I don't have any other 3D blu-rays yet to test it, but I have no problem with 3d photos on my laptop....
I'm running Version 10.0.5.713 of WinDVD2010.

Re: Tron:Legacy 3D playback problem
Yeah I already emailed them about an update and got a run around about how to fix a frozen program.
Anyway, left the part out where I paid for the full version of WinDVD Pro 2010 and the build that was on the download file just a few days ago IS NOT the latest build, and does not work with Tron Legacy 3D.
The latest posted service pack, #5 which downloads as #6Nov, does not install on my Windows 7 Profession x64 laptop, says no product to be updated. The software internal update software also says no update.
I'm on build 10.0.5.713 (pretty sure, posting here on my desktop)
10.0.5.819.119562 is apparently the latest build.

Re: Tron:Legacy 3D playback problem
I'm having the same problem, I just got all decked out with Nvidia's 3D Vision kit and I was looking forward to watching Tron Legacy in 3D but no dice; the Pirates trailer at the start of the disc plays fine, the next trailer actually freezes up entirely before it's even left the Disney logo, and skipping forward directly to the main menu it also freezes up a second or two into loading. I've got the full version of 2010 Pro purchased directly from the website, and fully updated to the latest version build 10.0.5.713. I even tried uninstalling then reinstalling WinDVD completely, but that didn't help any. I tried a trial version of a competing software product that worked flawlessly, but I really don't feel like spending more money when I already own software that's supposed to work... an update with a fix would be much appreciated posthaste.

Re: Tron:Legacy 3D playback problem
Jack, Corel support had me download an older version of the software and then I could run all of the updates online. THEN it would update to the latest build via the built-in updater.
With that being said, last night I went over to the competing product. The current release of WinDVD (I'm assuming there hasn't been an update since I clicked on update and was told no new updates!) is NOT compatible with Mars Needs Moms 3D. Similar to Tron Legacy, gets to the menu then locks up.
The other product worked flawlessly with Mars Needs Moms. Wished I had returned WinDVD in the 30 day window, but they were able to get Tron working.....
