How do I tell if I have it?

If not, how do I get it?

X3 has its own background remover command....well it's called Object Extractor. It's under the Image menu.

As for the background remover plugin, unless you installed it in X3 you don't have it. I don't know if one came with X3 though, I know one came with X2.

Are you maybe referring to the Background Eraser? If so, it's on the Tools toolbar directly under the regular eraser.

Not the background eraser. I read that there was a background remover plugin. Maybe there is no such thing.

Well, not in X3 at least. But that's because they have the "Object Extractor" command. They no longer require that plugin since it's now built into the system.

Back with X2 they were giving away a free copy of ImageSkill's plugin 'Background Remover" so such a plugin does exist. http://www.imageskill.com/backgroundrem ... mover.html

You just don't get it for free as a download or on the disk anymore with X3. If you would prefer that plugin to X3's "Object Extractor" you would have to buy it yourself.

Just like what LeviFiction mentioned, ImageSkill's plugin 'Background Remover" was free when you purchased the old PSP X2 Ultimate and you can check if you have it when you see the IMAGESKILLS folder when you click on EFFECTS > PLUGINS > IMAGESKILLS.
