Animation Title Problem - Too fast on VS9 compare to VS8

Post by ratox »

I have the full version of VS9 and the Moving Path Animation Style for Titles is too fast on version 9 compare to version 8.

There is no option to set the delay on this style, however on the version 8 there was already a pause on the animation.

The "TTs" is grayed out for this style also.

Is there anything I can do to make a pause on the middle of the style (the 1st one on the Moving Path)

Thx

Hi ratox,

Recently completed a 45 min project myself requiring titles, subtitles, quotes, etc. I know exactly your frustration. Anyway, if there's a will, there's a way.

The problem with UVS9's titling effects is that it takes almost the entire duration of the text on the timeline to fully manifest itself. By the time the effect, let's say Fade-In, is complete, it's already at the end of the text display period.

Here's what I would do to make the text more 'visible' by keeping the non-effect display portion longer on screen, while still getting the benefits of the text effect.

You insert every text-line in set of 3 side-by-side:

e.g., Your Text (fade-in, 2 sec) -> Your Text (no effect, 5 sec) -> Your Text (fade-out, 2 sec)

Note: Create the standard text line first, then copy it and paste it
back 2 times front and back, where you'd apply the effects.

The same idea can be adapter for all effects and you play around with the duration pre and post text for the desired feel you want.

I've also emulated some other tricks for standard effects like ticker-tape which is not available on VS9. Well that's another story.

Enjoy Tex'ing!

When all else fails, read the manual.

When you have selected the animation, and with the title selected, you get two triangles below the preview.
The time left of the first is animation IN, the time right of the second is animation OUT, what is between is static.

In moving path 1 the two triangles are together that means 50% in , 50% out, nothing in between. Just separate the triangles with your mouse and exactly select the length of the desired parts, IN, steady, OUT.
