PSPX3 - Serial no Go

Post by katu01 »

Received PSPX3 today and looked forward to doing a quick install on a Win7 Ultimate, 64-bit workstation with 2TB of memory. Started install as Administrator, agreed to license conditions and then entered the serial number from the DVD jacket. It came back with "Invalid Number" so I tried again. Same thing . . . with and without punctuation, CAPS, caps, etc., no luck. I use AVG pro and have never had issues with new software installs including software with dongles and truly paranoid ware like Vue, Eyeon, Adobe, and Toonboom. This is really inexpensive software, so it's hard to understand why Corel security even keeps paying customers out!? Painter 11 and Office X3 are on the same workstation. Any suggestions or is this a clear case of 'get an RMA' and move along?

Hi katu01

Please ask somebody in your family/neighbourhood or contact Corel and we will help you. However, we need a scan of the serial number to see how the original looks like.

I myself have to ask colleagues from time to time to spell the serial number, because I type it incorrectly. They are so long and confusing

If you are in Europe, then I can help you. Send me a private message with your PIN and I can call you back on Monday.
I work for the Corel UK Support. I will not give technical support through this forum and my answer is only related to this thread.

Before shutting down last night, received a Win7 update notice and did the updates. Next day the Corel software installed - using the same number - without a hitch. Go figure.
Thank you for your response.
