VS X4 Trial Version: Runtime Error
I have successfully used VS X3 on my i7 processor for about a year under Windows 7 Ultimate X64. I just downloaded the VS X4 Trial on the same machine. Now whenever I attempt to run the program using my administrator account I get the error:"runtime error service asked to terminate in unusual way". I have used the X4 cleanup program to uninstall the program and reinstalled it several times. I have also updated DirectX, deleted tmp folders pertaining to ulead and corel and reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 & 2010 Redistributable Packages. All to no avail. However, if I simply log out of my administrator account, and login as another user on my machine, I am able to run the program successfully and was able to burn a 1 hour, 40 minute video to a blu-ray disc (in 4 hours of processing time!). I have seen other posts under this VS topic in which creating a new user account solves an installation problem (see: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=40865 - the last post by maxfrost01); however my issue seems different. I am willing to to use the alternate account to successfully run VS X4 if I have to, but given that X3 works under the administrator account, I don't see why X4 shouldn't also. I would appreciate knowing if others have experienced the same or similar problems, and any advice regarding a solution.

You may want to follow these steps
For Windows Vista and Windows 7
1. Click on the "Start" button
2. Click on "Control Panel" and choose "Uninstall a Program" or "Programs and Features"
3. If in the list, we see "Relevant Knowledge" or "Premier Opinion", highlight the item, and choose "Uninstall" or "Change/Remove" and follow the instructions to remove it.
4. Restart the Computer

Re: VS X4 Trial Version: Runtime Error
I have attempted the steps you suggested, Abiel, but did not find Relevant Knowledge or Premier Opinion installed.
In the meantime I have purchased the DVD upgrade and installed it under my alternate administrative account. Just as before it runs OK under that account, but produces the same runtime error when attempting to run it under my original/main administrator account. I can only assume that something in the application data of that account is causing the problem, but as I stated before, removing all corel and ulead files in the appdata folder does not fix the problem.
