Re: Capture command
As far as I know VS X4 does not have a feature to capture or take a snapshot of your computer screen.

Re: Capture command
Do you have Fraps already? That will take snapshots while you are capturing and viewing in full-screen mode in VS4.daheffalump wrote:Im looking for the keyboard command to "take a snapshot".

There is a "Take a Snapshot" choice while you are in capture mode, when you choose Capture Video.
Im not savvy enough to take a screenshot, but it is just to the right of capture video.
There is also the same choice under the Edit drop-down menu.
I'm just surprised that there is not a way, natively, to "take a snapshot" without using the mouse.
As far as I can tell, there is not even a way to capture video without the mouse.

An excellent idea. I've been so focused on getting an old firewire (generic) camera working for the last couple weeks I think I have tunnel vision.
That being said, VS4 has been the only program that will accept the drivers for the old camera.
I thank you for the help, and if I ever hear of the answer to this I will post it.

Re: Capture command
Try pressing "PrtScn" button on keyboard, open word document and paste. Should work in a pinch.

Re: Capture command
I do have to ask daheffalump - - why is it so important for you to take screen shots during capture ? . If you captured first and then played back the video you can take as many video frame snapshots as you want from within VideoStudio, just by clicking 'Pause' - 'take a snapshot' - 'Play'
In fact if your going to put them together as a 'stop motion' sequence why not use the stop motion sequence in VideoStudio after you have captured.

Re: Capture command
Briancee,
I work in a small doctors office. The doctor wants to take photos, live, as they are doing an exam. Yes, I could go in and take it as a video, then take pictures afterward, but thats not what they want/need. If Corel had "take a snapshot" mapped to a key(or keystrokes), then that would just be a matter of setting up a macro. However, since they dont, I'm having to find a workaround. This would be in my wishlist for EVERY program, to have all commands like this to be mapped(or at least mappable).
