I'm having an issue with the trial version of X4. It extracts the files then I get a black PSP window on the bottom that says Cancel or Next but the next is greyed out. I have left this run for several hours, but nothing happens. If I click cancel it does stop right away so I don't know if it's locked or what.
I have searched these threads and found a similar issue with videostudio X3 but see no answers

First, is the black window you get labelled PSP as you say, or VS? PSP is of course a Photo editing program and not a video one...

Re: Videostudio X4 Trial does not install
sorry that was a typo. it's video studio X4 I was trying to install.
I did however, get the issue resolved thanks.
I just created a new user with admin priviledges.
Logged on with that user and ran the install again and it worked fine.

Re: Videostudio X4 Trial does not install
Watermarks, I had the same problem but mine loaded but when I tried to go on it the second time it tries to install again and gives me an error. I'm not really a computer whiz so how did you creat a new user with administrative previlegs? Thanks for any help.

With Windows XP you go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Create New Account. As has been stated, make sure you set it with Admin privileges.

Hello Dick
Just as Black LLab has said, With Windows XP, you go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Create New Account. Type a name for the account and then make sure you set it with Admin privileges.
Sign on with that new user and run your install again. this time it should work fine. thats what I did and all went well.
Let me know if I can help any further

And if that works, log back on with your old username and see if it works then -- as it should. And if it does, you can delete the new user account.

Re: Videostudio X4 Trial does not install
I logged back in to my original account and does not work.
I need to be looged in as the user I installed the software with in order for VS to run.
