Hi,
Everyone on this forum has been extremely helpful, and moving forward, I think I have an easy question...
Upon dragging a clip from the library and onto the timeline, is there anyway of knowing which clips have been used already from the library view? In other words, I'd love to see some type of indicator or "check" mark that would allow me to know exactly which clips in the library view are already part of my timeline. Sometimes, there are clips that are sitting in the library that have not been included in my final production.
Thank you.
Anthony

Re: Selected items from library view
In a word, no. What I do if I have many clips that I can't keep straight is simply rename it. I usually just rename it "x" to designate it has been used. To rename a library clip click on the name twice (not a double click) and type in the new name, symbol, etc.

Unfortunately there is no automatic means to indicate which clips you have used.
The only way I have found to do it is to just insert an asterisk at the front of the text under the library thumbnail. - just click twice slowly (as in renaming a file or folder in Windows) and you can then edit the text under the thumbnail. This does not change the original file name at all - just the text under the thumbnail so you are not upsetting the global picture at all.

Bah - must learn to type quicker.
