Menu background files

Hi,

I am using the DVD Workshop Express version and I am trying to add some new backgrounds. Can anyone confirm what formats I can use?

I see the library content is UFO but I have nothnig to create this format. I have seen PSD mentioned in the manual but can I use this to import as a background?

Also, I really like some of the backgrounds with motion but how we create these?

I've used JPEGs (and bitmaps I think). For motion backgrounds I've used Video Studio or Womble MPEG Video Wizard to create an MPEG. You can use the multiplexed audio or a wave file... Maybe an MP3, but I havent' tried it.

Note that Workshop Express has a 30 second maximum for motion menus. The standard version can go a little over 4 minutes. (Or, you can loop it.)

Hi, thanks very much for the information, I shall go and experiment.

I must say that I am very surprised that for such an important feature of DVD Workshop, the information provided for adding things like this with the product is quite poor, you would think that they would want us to make full use of all their product.
