Upgrading to VS x4

Post by Zig »

I am currently running VS Pro x2 - is it possible to upgrade directly to x4 or do I need to go through x3 first?

No you do not need to go via X3 - you can go direct to X4

You can install and use X4 while still having X2 on your computer - you do not need to remove X2 and it is not overwritten by X4 so you can have both on your PC and working (although not at exactly the same time) I like many of the others on here have a number of versions still installed - it allows you to work out what libraries and projects etc. you need to transfer to the latest version in your own time - and if you can't work out immediately how to do something in X4 you can always nip back to X2 and do it there.

Hello Zig,

Just like what Brian said, you can upgrade directly to VS X4, since the eligibility includes VS X2.
To purchase the upgrade version, you must own a previous licensed version of:

VideoStudio® X2 or higher (Standard or Pro)
Corel® VideoStudio® Express
Corel® Digital Studio™

Note: Upgrade eligibility excludes trial, academic, OEM and Not For Resale (NFR) versions. Corel products not listed above are not eligible for the upgrade version.
