No way to side scroll

No way to side scroll
I googled every keyword, checked youtube tutorials, played with the settings in Visualstudio, downloaded both the additional title packs and then tried to adjust the closest thing to a side scrolling verticle text tile. I still haven't figured it out.
I know it must be possible because in one of the additional title packs I downloaded, there is a preset of a wavy text title that scrolls sideways across the screen.
I know how to do the movie credits style text scrolling, I'm trying to do verticle sideways scrolling, right to left (or left to right I guess)
Does anyone know what I'm talking about or how to go about accomplishing this in VisualStudio?

If you're talking about something like a news-ticker that runs along the bottom of the screen, that is done simply by placing all your text on a single line. Then use one of the presets that tell the text to enter from one side and exit to the other. I think it's one of the "Fly" attributes.

Re: No way to side scroll
That's what I originally thought he was talking about. But on thinking about it further, his repeated reference to "vertical" makes me wonder if he is after something more complicated, namely, a (narrow) column of vertical text stretching from top of screen to bottom, but moving right to left across the screen. I am not sure what effect he is after but it could be useful for, say, a language like Japanese or Chinese which traditionally is written in vertical columns rather than horizontal columns...
But if that is what he is after, then I am not sure it can be achieved in VS...

Still trying to get it to work properly but I found out the animation effect I was looking for, thank you!
What about adding a new title track? I have 2 right now, but I need 3 title tracks.

You tell us the animation that you're talking about and we might let you know about title tracks....

Re: No way to side scroll
Ran into another obstacle.
When inserting a picture into the movie track, I can't move it forward; it goes back to the beginning of the track no matter where I click to insert. When I place it into an overlay track, it makes the picture (photo) much smaller.
Is this something to do with general settings or track settings? Has to be a way right? Why would VisualStudio not let me change where the picture begins to play?

Re: No way to side scroll
Any clip in the main video track will automatically be moved to the beginning of the track or directly next to the preceding clip.
Any clip in an overlay track can be resized by a) dragging the yellow handles around the clip in the Preview Window or b) right clicking on the clip in the Preview Window and choose Fit to Screen. This can also be set in Preferences.

Hi
To move the clip to the right insert a colour clip first then your image, you will find these in the library, maybe add a Crossfade,
Can we assume you are using Corel Video Studio X4

Re: No way to side scroll
Googling I came to this place, though I am not sure if it is the same problem.
I use VideoStudio X8
What I am looking for is text rolling from right to left at the bottum of the screen. Above the term "news-ticker" is used. Indeed you often see it at TV news stations how the main topics are shown.
I have checked all "Fly" attributes as suggested, it has many fancy options, but a simple roll from right to left is not there. Or am I overseeing something ?
Thanks for anyone answering !
