I cannot edit .EMF files generated from PowerPoint 2007. I always obtain a blank image after introducing any resolution values at the input field. The same occurs with .WMF format. I need to import vectorial graphics from .PPT files with a specific resolution, and I do not see any other way to do that.
I have PaintShop Photo Pro X3 v.13.2.1.20 with last available patches and updates installed.
Please any help or user experiencing the same problem?

Re: EMF files not rendered
First of all there are some features in EMF that PSP x2/x3 cant render, but try it open in Inkscape and remove gradients and texts. Save as - in Inkscape there are some options, try them all.
I played with Inkscape and wanted import vector drawing to PSP x2/x3 for further editing. It is posible, and it works well. But you can use in Inkscape only basic things like paths, solid colors and others. But I can draw in Inkscape more efectively than the same vector drawing in PSP. I do not played with it too much so I can not say which tools are fully compatible for vector drawings between Inkscape and PSP. Final words: try export/import in WMF, EMF, EPS and SVG formats,... Good luck.

Re: EMF files not rendered
I can't import EMF files into Corel Draw 4. I've never had a problem with previous CD versions. The program keeps freezing and then shutting itself down when I ask it to paste or import EMF and WMF files.
Specifically I am trying to import a graph from Graphpad prism 5. I've imported other graphs from GP5 with no problems. This one is a slightly larger graph with more data sets, when I copy and paste it does not import with all the vector information (missing bars on graph). So I tried pasting it as an enhanced metafile which then gave me a low resolution item with much of the labels and lines missing. Importing as a windows metafile crashed the program. I also tried exporting the file from Graphpad as an EMF file and then importing the file to Corel Draw which crashed the program. As a test I've tried to import some other EMF files and again CD4 crashes. I bought the program a little over a year ago. How do I fix this?
I don't want to export as a tif as it the vector information does not transmit properly, without the line resolution needed for publication.

Have you tried using PSP X4? If not, then you can download the trial of PSP X4 here.

Re: EMF files not rendered
Aartsnscience -- as you may have guessed by now, this web board does not cover CorelDraw and its associated programs. You would be better posting your query on coreldraw.com/forums/
I assume aslo that you are talking about CD X4, and not CD 4 as you have type. You might want to correct that on the CD forum.
