Anyone out there who really knows how to use the Brushes and customise them?
I thought I'd sorted it out - but I haven't.
No matter what I do - they all give the same results - either a solid line of what ever thickness and colour - or a sparse dotty mess of what ever thickness and colour.
Is there a tutorial that you know of that really shows how, the Corel help pages and the few PSP books I have don't show it well and the few tutorials I've come across don't show it well either.

Re: PaintShopPro brushes
I am not sure what you mean, but try Brush Variances.
Here is a screen shot from X2 (...only Czech, sorry), tablet is needed for better working..

Re: PaintShopPro brushes
I'm sorry, what else are you expecting them to do? Lines and dots are pretty much the standard. You can add some variance and jittering but those tend to lead to the spotty mess you're worried about.
Can you tell us what you're looking for? Is there something you expected but can't seem to replicate from like a tutorial or something? Or did you see someone else do it and want to know how you can?
I can't guarantee you'll find these useful at all but here are some tutorials on the brush system - though they are pretty basic and there have been complaints on the sound.

Hello el48tel,
If you really want different brushes and strokes, you can try using Painter 11, which works perfectly with a tablet and pen. You can download the trial of painter at http://www.corel.com/trials

Re: PaintShopPro brushes
Thanks guys - especially LeviFiction - you've all given me some ideas - I've experimented before but not really knowing where I was going - now I need to go back and look again so I can do the project I have in mind

Re: PaintShopPro brushes
I finally found what I needed - not brushes - but a series of masks that someone else has made - probably with more skilful hands and brushes than I'll ever be - in Freetubes.com - can recommend it as a source of ready made masks - found it through community resources in the CorelYourway site
