Newbie: can't get sound to sync

I have captured some video (Every.. Raymond last episode) and am trying to make a DVD from it. The original file is 2 hours (3.8 ghz. mpeg2) I have experimented editing it down, removing comercials etc. and have about 9 clips. Each clip, the sound is synced perfect, but run as a "Project" or burned to DVD the further into the movie the worse the sound sync is. How can I get the sound to sync withn the movie better?

Buy VS9 Retail Boxed version and perform all the video editing
using that program.

In reply to the reply by maddrummer 3301, it would be nice if the problem could be resolved when using videostudio8, instead of requiring us to buy the new package to fix it!

The only version of VS8 that doesn't have the audio problem is the
original retail CD release which has an executable file dated 4/1/04.

That original installation doesn't have the audio/sync issue.
Any updates that ulead posted after that will cause problems
with the audio.
