Hello Again,
Thank you to everyone who has offered thoughts and ideas to an earlier post regarding stuttering/jumping video during playback.
A quick recap:
I'm able to view each clip individually without any playback problem upon capture. However, once I drop a clip into the timeline, the clip experiences a very slight but noticeable bit of stuttering/jumping/hiccuping every so many seconds during playback on the timeline. I was hoping that this might have just been occurring in preview mode, but after creating a video file, the problem still exists. This footage was captured using a Flip camera.
The manufacturer of the flip camera is suggesting that since the footage can play fine with the camera program (Arcsoft Media Impression) the problem seems to be related to the player codec on my computer. They suggested that I download the latest K-Lite Codec Pack to see if that would resolve the problem.
Can anyone offer their thoughts or comments on this latest suggestion?
Thank you.
Anthony

Re: Stuttering/Jumping Video during final playback revisited
hello route66teacher,
What you want to do is to uninstall Klite then download the codecs from their respective creator or manufacturer.
Here are some of the codecs that you may want to install.
RealPlayer: http://www.real.com/
DivX: http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/codec-pack
XviD: http://downloads.xvid.org/downloads/xvidcore-1.3.1.zip
Windows Media Player: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... dia-player or just download the Windows Encoder at http://www.microsoft.com/expression/pro ... rview.aspx
QuickTime: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Direct X: http://on-msn.com/aLrk0j (WinXP)
Direct X: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/window ... tx-11.aspx
There could be other codecs that you need to download but the best way to do it to get it from the original source and not from codec packs.
