Hello boobooknook,

You should not be getting that when installing PSP X3 using a disc but if you do, it can be a problem for something else.

You can try to these steps.

1 : right click My Computer
2 : Choose hardware
3 : Driver signing
4 : Choose Ignore or Warn (I think actually it stands on block)

Just is as system default then restart the computer and reinstall PSP X3. If the problem persists, you may want to contact Corel Customer Support.

Many thanks for your response. That would be a good start however I did have it already set. Corel came back to me and offered the following list of actions. I performed them and all is okay now. I have posted them as it should hopefully help others. Again, many thanks for your response. It too will be of assistance to others.

The steps from Corel were:

1.) Please visit http://search.microsoft.com/ then manually search, download and install the following updates:

2.) DirectX End-User Runtime
3.) Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 (x86)
4.) Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 (x86)
5.) Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x86)
6.) Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 (x86)
7.) Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
8.) MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3 (Microsoft XML Core Services)

9.) Search for the latest updates via Windows update and get all the critical updates released by Microsoft. It is very important that your Windows is updated: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

10.) Afterwards, reboot your computer. Once restarted, check if you are running the latest video drivers for your video card. If you have an older version, download the latest video driver (a reboot may be required).

For NVIDIA users, get the latest driver here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
For AMD-ATI users, get the latest driver here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
For Intel users, get the latest driver here: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm

11.) Run the software.

Regards, boobooknook :D
